Why this award of excellence is named as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Excellence Award?

This award of excellence is named as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Excellence Award to remember the achievement of the great former president of India, and encourage others to follow his foot steps to do better and better and achieve excellence in life. The excellence is attainable in life and get the recognition for the excellence in this annual award of excellence promoted by Mother India Care.

 

When is the Excellence award ceremony event and where is the venue ?

The Excellence Award event is scheduled for Sunday, 18th Nov 2018 and it will be conducted at one of the best star hotel in Bangalore city.

 

When do I have to enter my nomination by?

Nominations close at midnight on Thursday, 31st Oct 2018.

 

Who can nominate for the awards?

Nominations are welcome from training providers, employers, students and teachers, researchers, private sector, state and central government. .

All nominators should make sure their nomination meets the eligibility criteria for the award.

 

Can an individual nominate themselves?

Yes, we also encourage all individuals to nominate themselves for the individual provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

 

Can a nominator or nominee nominate for multiple awards?

An individual can only be nominated for one individual award.

An organization can nominate for multiple awards provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

 

Can I apply on behalf of an individual?

Yes, an organization can nominate a staff member or student for an individual award.

 

What happens next? How will I know if I have reached the next stage?

All nominees will be notified of the outcome of their nomination throughout the judging process.

 

Who judges the nominations / entries ?

A panel of independent judges from consultancy, in-house, academic and media backgrounds, chosen for their experience and expertise, will assess all entries.

 

If some one from our organization is a judge, can we still send nominations ?

Yes. But the judge will not be allowed to score your entry.

 

How long is the judging process?

Nominations close at midnight on 31st  oct 2018. Evaluation and judging will commence from 1st Nov 2018 and will be completed by 2nd Nov 2018. The process will take approximately 2 days. Shortlisted entries who have scored 100 and above points will be recommended to the MIC Board and intimation will be sent to all shortlisted individuals.

 

Can I request feedback on my nomination if I am not successful?

Yes, the Chair of the panel is the only panel member to provide feedback to nominees. And the shortlisted entries will get the feedback.

 

What can I win or receive?

Individual, Employer, Training Provider and Industry Collaboration Award winners will receive award memento, citation, lunch and the prestige associated with this. The Excellence Awards of the Year is not a direct entry into the Excellence Awards.

The Excellence Award for all those exceptional individuals is an Indian only award and does not articulate to the national awards.

 

As a winner will I be asked to participate in any promotion of the Excellence Awards?

Yes, winners will become ambassadors for the Excellence Awards. Your story and photo will be used to promote and publications and used by media outlets.

 

Can I promote my award if I am a finalist or winner?

Yes, permission will need to be sought from the MIC.
